In the Midwest, if you live anywhere that leaves are beginning to cover patches of grass or sidewalks, you don’t need the calendar to announce that the autumnal equinox has arrived this Sept. 22 of 2026. (The Vernal Equinox came in Spring.)
You may also have noticed that daylight hours and nights are pretty much equal so those long days of June, July and August have changed to questions of what happened to Summer.
